I think the problem here is not the designation. I think the problem is that the so-called conservatives in government tend to be more liberal with money, overall, than liberals are. It's just cloaked by what they want to spend the money on. I doubt there are too many actual "conservatives" as measured here anywhere BUT the federal and state legislatures. Most of us are probably Libertarian or Liberal and just don't realize it. I also doubt there are many Statists in this country at all (except obviously our current President whose policies put him squarely here: http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz-score/draw.php?p=0&e=4).

Well, I think the real problem is that a 10 question test is trying to determine political beliefs.
I'm definitely more liberal than I used to be, which is to say that I'm probably a moderate right now. I think we as a society have a duty to take care of less fortunate people, but I also think that can be abused and often times people need a kick in the butt more than a handout.
I don't think the government should censor the press in general, but I also think there should be restrictions on that. I'm more conservative in this regard, because I think you should punish dishonesty, rather than try to prevent it with tons of legislation.
So yeah, I guess I'm lining up more down the middle these days.
