interesting thread....
I'm not sure which side to land on in this ethanol debate.
This is a rich and respectful thread with good facts on both sides, and a funny (funny odd AND funny ha ha) contribution from Joshua).
I do believe that ethanol is somewhat overrated and overpromoted because of a quirk of American politics - the first presidential 'straw polls' every four years are held in corn-rich Iowa. If they were held elsewhere, out of the cornbelt, I don't believe ethanol would get as much government backing as it does...regardless of the merits.
