Hello All!!
I thought that I would introduce myself... I live in the Appleton Area, and grew up in the backwoods countryside of Amherst
Wi, which as I have seen, quite a few others in this forum have grown up living in the country. I loved the lifestyle, and the freedom of growing up with 2 brothers and a sister away from the city. We spent everyday outside. We lived right across from about a 200 acre field that was sometimes planted with corn and we would actually hide in the corn fields playing tag with cobs of corn!! Otherwise we basically ran amok and found all kinds of ways to test our parents patience!! My brothers and I used to actually spend the whole summer in a tent about 300 yards behind our family home in the woods on a huge hill. What was the best about that, is that our parents let us do it!!! I would assume that it was a break for them. We actually had tree forts all over the place up there, and we made it our own little home.
That sort of lifestyle made me the person that I am today... I love to hunt, fish, camp, ATV and basically anything else having anything to do with the outdoors. I think that Wisconsin is about the best place ever to experience nature. My wife has decided, ( becuase I still try to lose myself in the woods every summer), that she might as well come with me becuase I will stay gone as long as I can. Its a little tougher these days being in the automotive industry, (tons of hours). but we still seem to find a few weeks to get lost. I recently had a little boy of my own in December, (If he is anything like me life should be a real treat in a few years.) Kenny has truly given me focus where I never had it before. Now I know what gets a person trough their adult life.
