Mark,
I have felt this way since Ive been a homeowner in the city. My neighbors and some friends still beleive in regular fertilizer and weed treatments. They have said "when are you going to something about those dandelions".
Well for years now I still have not treated my small city lawn to rid a a plant that really does no harm to my yard but is a eye-sore to those who do not look at as a wild flower.
"Depending on your perspective, dandelion is either a weed or wild vegetable that is more nutritious than broccoli and spinach. "

I am moving this spring to a 10-15 acre property and believe me I am excited to say the green in my yard will have dandelions and a large garden.
My current city property will have live-in caretakers and I will insist they wont use chemicals on my lawn unless they plan on buying the property.
