Huron Lake Info
Little 40-acre Huron Lake should be viewed as a valuable resource by everyone who has kids younger than, say, 12. It’s well-known, in fact, as a good kids’ lake – a place to take the family where the youngsters won’t get bored – a “guaranteed-bite” lake. According to Bill Standke, owner of B&B Tangle-Free Bait Boxes, 540 3rd Ave., Red Granite (920) 566-4995, the fishery is primarily for keeper-size panfish, which will keep the kids entertained. And there are a few decent-size Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike to keep dad from going to sleep. In winter, there’s also good action for Northerns and panfish.
