EAGLE LAKE INFO
This lake weeds up heavily in the summer, and, as a consequence, can be difficult to fish. It’s worth the effort, though. Mike Lewandowski, manager of Reinemann Sport, Pet, and Outdoor Center in Burlington (414) 539-2919, says you’ll find Northern Pike up to 42 inches here, along with good numbers of 19- to 21-inch Walleyes and nice Largemouth Bass. Summers, fish toward the center of the lake, wherever you can find a clear spot; throw toward the weed edges. White spinners seem to work best, says Lewandowski, along with weedless-rigged worms. There’s great ice fishing for panfish at the 6- to 7-foot level along the lake’s west side.
