BROWNS LAKE INFO
This is a nice lake, one containing some nice Largemouth Bass, lots of small Northern Pike, good numbers of nice Crappies, and a zillion stunted Bluegills for the kids. Mike Lewandowski, Manager of Reinemann Sport, Pet, and Outdoor Center in Burlington (414) 539-2919, says you can take the Bass along the shorelines with spinnerbaits and plastics, and the area off the broad point/channel on the west is especially good. As the water warms, you can also take Bass in the channel. The Crappies, he says, are chiefly taken through the ice at night. During the summers, there’s a waterski show on Saturday nights. It’s surprisingly good, says Lewandowski. Take Mom and the kids.
