FISHING INFORMATION FOR BOOT,MC DERMOTT, BEARSKULL LAKES
These four lakes offer varying fishing opportunities. Bearskull holds Muskies in the 40-inch range, two-foot Northern Pike, and Largemouth Bass averaging around 2 pounds. Fishing pressure is light. Boot Lake offers “good fishing” for Muskies, Bass, and Northerns. The bay west of the landing is the best spot. McDermott has nice cabbage beds where you can catch 40-inch Muskies, lots of smallish Northerns and some Bass. Property owners keep info to themselves about this lake. The lake gets very little fishing pressure. Finally, Randall, is known as an “action lake” for 26-inch Northerns and “nice” Largemouth in the 4-pound class. Toss spinnerbaits and other noise-makers to the weedbeds. There’s decent-to-good access to all these lakes.
