Thank you for posting this, Amber. It makes me absolutely sick to read this, but we need to be aware of animal cruelty and work to stop it. Often criminals that murder or mame humans have a history of animal cruelty. As shown with the
heroin trafficing in puppies this week, many people think of animals as disposable. Animals can't speak for themselves so we have to speak and act for them!
As a pet owner, I'd love to rescue every homeless or abused animal out there but I know this is not practical. Supporting legitimate shelters and rescues financially or by volunteering can make a huge difference. Organizations like the
ASPCA are also great resources for the news in animals rights and legislation.
