Hard to believe that November 10 will soon be upon us. November 10 will mark hte 30th anniversary of the loss of the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald which sank and took the lives of twenty-nine men while travelling from Lake Superior to Detroit.
With the weather as nice as it has been, it is hard to believe that things could get so nasty off shore as to capsize a ship as large as some ships are.
There is a website dedicated to the Edmund Fitzgerald that you can visit:
http://www.ssefo.com/
I have a section on my website dedicated to preserving the histories of Marine and Shipping, a very large part of Wisconsin History.

Is anyone else out there interested in the shipwrecks or heard any stories about ship preservation or restoration?
