It's funny because I've had the same exact thoughts on this lol. I do use a stringer quite a bit, but depending on where I'm fishing sometimes it's just easier to have the fish up on shore due to boat traffic and others fishing near by.
So far I've thought about using those collapsible clear water containers, but I can't find any long enough that would be suitable for larger fish. Then for a frame I'd just take and cut up some spare fiberglass tent poles and use a bunch of "T" connectors. For the aerator I'd use a battery powered one that they sell for bait buckets.
Just for the hell of it I may make a prototype with a collapsible 5 gallon container to see how that works. It won't be good for holding much but a few pan fish, but I'll get an idea as to how the larger version will work.
