"Some men there are who find in nature all
Their inspiration, hers the sympathy
Which spurs them on to any great endeavor,
To them the fields and woods are closest friends,
And they hold dear communion with the hills;
The voice of waters soothes them with its fall,
And the great winds bring healing in their sound.
To them a city is a prison house"
~Amy Lowell (1874-1925)
Hello fellow outdoorsmen & women!
Profile: AJE
What can I say, I live for nature. I'm a kid at heart going out to spot the critters in their home. You name it I will see it, thus my nick name Eagle Eyes!
I'm a woman of all seasons; you'll find me out there doing something at anytime of the year. As far back as I can remember I would rather be outside the confines of the house. Today, it still holds true. To understand whom I am now I think my parents hold the key for they loved the outdoors. Since before I could walk, my parents would have us become familiar with being outside and for that I must say thank you. In fact the best way to get me relaxed, is a calm walk on a trail or sitting in my car listening to Lake Michigan when I'm in Manitowoc.
Fall or Indian Summer is my favorite time of the year. I absolutely love the natural colors of how Mother Nature has painted the trees. I also like the fact that I can rockhound without a mosquito bite! You'll get to see the migrating birds such as my sweet saw whet owl. When I go scouting for artifacts, you'll be surrounded by voices. No, I'm not talking about people but nature. Take a moment to listen, to feel, and to see what I mean. Enjoy the serenity as I do!

If you talk to the animals they will talk to you, If you do not talk to them you will not know them. And what you do not know you will fear. What one fears,one destroys. ~Chief Dan George. (1899 - 1981)
