Political Forum Rules [Updated 03May2009] MUST READ
Political Conversation Forum Rules:
1. Respect your fellow posters and their opinions. This includes blanket statements against an entire ideology. The title of this forum is "Wisconsin Political Conversation" not "Wisconsin Political Flamewars." Keep it friendly, folks.
2. Do not attack posters specifically. You are allowed to have your own opinion, but you're not allowed to challenge someone else's right to their opinion. If I say I prefer Vanilla ice cream over Cholocate ice cream, you're not allowed to tell me that people that prefer vanilla are a bunch of morons.
3. READ THE WHOLE THREAD before replying.
4. Do not attempt to change the course of discussion in a thread. Every thread could quickly turn into a Liberal vs. Conservative (Democrat vs Republican, Dog vs Cat, Chocolate vs Vanilla) debate . Keep the discussion in the thread to the topic of the thread. If you want to start a new discussion, start a new thread.
5. Provide links as references. If you're arguing a little known topic, provide a link to back up your claim. For example, you wouldn't need to provide a link that smoking causes cancer, but you would need to provide a link if you say that cigarettes are an excellent source of vitamin C.
6. Respect the Admins and moderators. You are allowed to argue with them, unless it is about the site rules. If one of them tells you to stop doing something, stop it.
The current list of Political Conversation Mods / admins is:
keith, dgridley
These rules are subject to change at any time.
