Blue Lady

This is not a myth, more an observation on mine and familys part.

First a little background
In 95 we bought our present house, we knew little about it's history.
It was the original stage stop for Kilbourn Wisconsin. When we remodeled, in 96, on the bedroom wall we found a sign, burnt into wood, that stated Kilbourn. Our bedroom wall would have been the outside wall of the original building.
Upon inquiring around, we were told it had been the original stage stop for kilbourn. We were also told it was haunted by the "blue lady". My wife and I have never seen "the blue lady" but have come to accept that there are things happening here that cannot be explained.
it's not any one big thing, just many, repeatative small things. Freinds and family that have visited us, often remark on them.
Many, many times, while sitting in the living room or laying in bed, we have heard the front door open and close, getting up to see who it is, we see nothing. I'm not talking about a muffled sound here, I'm talking clear and distingishable door opening. It's such a common occurance, we don't even get up to check anymore.

The living room is in the original building, it has a loft bedroom above it that we use for guest. Many times you can hear sounds of someone walking around upstairs, clear steps can be heard. We quit closing the door during the winter (to save heat) mainly because many times when we returned home it would be opened. I even placed a slide latch on it, in case it was the wind or other explainable occurance. That didn't help, we would wake in the morning to find latch undone and door wide open.

After that I figured it was her house, she had lived there longer than us. So I leave the door open so she doesn't get cold.

Before our Irish setter died, there were times where she would stare at the living room ceiling, sometimes barking and others just looking.

Since we've gotten peaches (our cat) she spends hrs up there. You can hear her meowing at times, like she does when the wife and I talk to her.
Peaches is very possesive of the wife and I, keeps us in her sights at all times unless we are sleeping, then she lays in front of the fireplace. I think shes very possesive of the "blue lady" also.
When I processed my deer, I took the ears that had the tag on them and threw them away, after I took them out of peaches mouth. The next day they were on the living room floor...hmmm I'll fix her, this time I buried it at the bottom of the can, under at least a half can of garbage..guess what, next day there it was again.

I asked the wife, she told me she wouldn't touch that gross thing... this time I buried it in the entryway garbage, and put a box on top of it with a paint bucket on top of that. It stayed there, but I found another set of ears with the tag on them a few weeks later, under our bed. checking the tag number, I found it was last years tag, don't ask, I don't know, I can't swear by it, but I am sure I had thrown them away after I had finished the venison.

Take from this what you will, my wife and I know and as long as the "blue lady" is wiling to share her house with us, we'll stay here...or until we hit the lottery

I will research it as the facts come in I will keep you updated.

Thank you for reading this
