Basketball History
Dig into your history books Calumet County folks. There used to be a table top that traveled back and fourth between the New Holstein and Valders basketball teams. I remember this from the 1960s. I believe the table top was stolen from Leon's bowling alleys in New Holstein by the Valders basketball team in the 1920s. My father played on the NH team at that time. Every year after the winner the NH/Valders game got the table top. Does anyone remember this? Is the table top still out there somewhere? :P
