wow, you guys all know so much about your backgrounds. I only know that I'm mostly German with the rest who knows? Ask my mom and I get the same answer. She doesn't know much about the ancestors either. One of these days I'd like to do a family tree, but I'm only interested in going back as far as finding out when my ancestors came over here. Not much interested in what they did in Europe. At least I know my grandparents were born here in Wis. so I know I'll have to dig farther. I'm more interested in my dad's side of the family because of the family name and seeing if I'm related to certain people. My mom's name isn't any common name that's why I'm not as interested there.
